Use of Electronic Devices
Richland Elementary would like to remind you about our district's technology policy (Policy #815) and the responsible use of the devices issued to your student. Our goal is to ensure every student has access to the tools they need to succeed in their academic work.
The technology device provided to your student is an essential part of their learning experience. To help us maintain this valuable resource, we ask that you review the following key points of our technology policy with your student:
- Handle with care: Students are expected to handle their devices with care, keeping them safe from spills, drops, and other damage.
- Report all issues: If a device is lost, stolen, or damaged, it is critical that the student/family submits a tech ticket.
While we understand that accidents happen, our policy addresses repeated or intentional damage to district-issued technology. In these cases, families may be charged for the repair or replacement of the device at cost. This measure helps us ensure the longevity of our technology program and that all students have reliable access to their learning materials.
We appreciate your partnership in teaching your student the importance of responsibility and care for shared resources. If you have any questions about the technology policy, please do not hesitate to contact our school office.
