Richland students were treated to a character-building assembly featuring Jon Pritikin who talked to the kids about his experiences overcoming a speech problem and bullying. One of the world's strongest men and Guinness World Record Holder, Mr. Pritikin entertained the students with feats of strength, including tearing a phone book in half, while reinforcing his message that everyone can be a hero.

National Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day is recognized on the fourth Thursday in April each year. Parents are encouraged to use April 24 or choose a date in the summer months.

PSSA testing for 3rd-grade students will take place from April 22 to April 29. Families are encouraged to ensure students arrive on time, get a good night’s sleep, and bring wired headphones and a fully charged Chromebook.
